The Ant Plant

Watercolor and Digital (Procreate and Adobe Illustrator)

Myrmecodia tuberosa is an epiphytic plant from south east Asia. I had the opportunity to draw it in person along with a dissection of its flowers and fruits in the botanical garden Jean-Marie Pelt in Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy, France. I later used my sketches to elaborate a realistic watercolour, which I then used in a poster detailing the specificities of the plant.
